Levi the Strongest Man in New Zealand

Yesterday when morning tea time was over the whole school went to the lunch area to see our special guest.

I was listening to the special guest. He told us about his mate and him. His muscles were big as a tree. He told us that he carried giant rocks that were very heavy. His message to us was to follow our dreams just like he did.

When Levi from Mitre 10 Mega was going to leave room 2 got to have a picture of Levi with Room 2.

Then when he left we all said goodbye to Levi.

Goal Reflection

Dear Parent/ Caregiver,

As a class we have been reflecting our “collective” goals for Room 2 as set in term one. Each individual student self assess their own efforts in regards to each bullet point in each section. If he/she  felt that they accomplish the goal he/she highlighted the goal. If he/she felt that they had to work on the goal they left it blank.

In consultation with the each individual I have assess their efforts in each goal. I have marked this in red.

Key:

•  “tick" is that I believe he/she have demonstrated the he/she has carried out the goal in an ongoing manner.
• "Working towards” is an individual has shown evidence that he/she is nearing completing the goal.
• "Next Step learning" is where an individuals goals might be focus in the future.

The last page is where your child has set new goals for their education. This is an opportunity to speak to your sibling and discuss and talk about their learning.

Goal:How to brush our teeth Correctly.

Materials Toothbrush toothpaste water.

Steps

1  Put toothpaste onto the bristles of the toothbrush.
                                                                                     
2 Wet the top of your toothbrush with water on top of your toothbrush.

3 Put the toothbrush into your mouth and clean your teeth in little circles.

4 Spit the toothpaste out with water.                                                                                              

Crusders

Yesterday on Monday afternoon there where four  Crusders players that came to Burnham school. After school they taught us how to play ball tag. At school some parent's came to watch, us as well. After the game's  we got a flag and a hat.The rugby players signed our flags and our hats. 

The day was windy and a bit cold.

When we got a flag and a hat some parents took a photographs. Some people were asking some questions to the Crusders players.When the Crusders left  I felt  sad.

Castle: Learning Descriptive Writing

I was walking through a deep spooky forest when there was a big spooky castle in the distance. I  saw shark under the bridge and there were guards on  the look out for danger .The windows and the doors had spider webs and slime . The draw bridge chains had bugs hanging off the rusty them. .

Gallapoli-First day

Room 2 have been researching the Anzacs at Gallapoli.

We focused especially on the first Day at Gallapoli listening to veterans' own accounts and using a 3D resource called “ Gallapoli the First Day”.

This resource we used as starting point for creative writing exercise to image if we were there.

 I remember when we landed at Gallipoli . I will never forget when my friend got shot in the boat and fell into the freezing water. I smelt smoke. When we got to the shore we got out of the boat but we couldn’t see the enemy.....
